I think it can best be said that if you look at my work often enough you will begin to know me, and about me. I can tell you that I have not always painted, but I have been drawn to the world of art, where color, form, and light meld into images. It is a world I cannot resist, a world where anything and everything is possible!

The door to art re-opened for me on a trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico where my creative heart was touched by the entire experience, which includes the area itself and the incredible light and feel of Santa Fe. I came home forever changed and inspired.

I have worked in watercolor, color pencil, acrylic, but always seem to return to the home of oil painting. Creating is a sensual experience filled with the scent of oils, or a kneaded eraser, the feel of the brush gliding over canvas, the sound of a pen scratching out an image on paper and the sight of colors blending on canvas or paper, or a line that just makes ones heart jump with its beauty.

One of my joys, and challenges, is to be aware of that resting place with a painting where I can sense a "time to stop" and then let the work rest. But I think my greatest joy is in hearing that someone has connected to something I have created. It is an awesome experience to hear that your creation has touched someone. I wish that experience for everyone, and that IS possible.

We are all creators of varying sorts, so I encourage you to create with all your heart! Who knows…..maybe someday your song, or story, painting, or new idea will touch my heart and inspire me…..and the circle grows.
