New beginnings

One of my favorite times to begin a new project, painting, illustration, spiritual practice, etc. is on a new moon. Yep, I am a follower of moon cycles, even though I have been told it’s only a “space station.” Or something along those lines.

And to my thinking, regardless of what it is, the moon controls the tides, oceans, and so much more. How can I argue with that or discount it’s measurable power? It’s also a beautiful night reflection of the sun and an orb that has been a comfort to me, and a life marker, since I was a little girl.

So here I am, just a day or two before the next full moon, launching a new website. It is complete? No. But is IS a new beginning. Just like the new fawn above, the site is a work in progress.

(note: The little fawn peeked out from behind the tree just three days ago, so she is not new to this world. Her curious gaze says it all. “What IS it that I am looking at??” Maybe she had never seen a car before?)
